FSC I-Joists

We are proud to stock FSC I-Joists primarily from the revered company Boise Cascade.  I-Joists are a technological marvel, and FSC I-Joists only provide added benefits as they manufactured using strict guidelines enacted to protect the environment.As compared to traditional 2×10 timbers, I-Joists demonstrate these and other important advantages:

• They are lighter in weight than a traditional 2×10 beam.
• The uniformity of I-Joists makes them much stronger than other beams.  Knots in 2×10 can compromise the strength of a beam.  This is not the case with an I-Joist.
• They are made from recycled wood, so deforestation is much less.
• Because I-Joists utilize strand lumber in areas where no structural strength is needed, more of the tree is used in their manufacture.
