FSC Lumber Prices

We are often asked how much Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) lumber and plywood cost compared to commodity lumber and plywood.  The short answer is 15% more but beneath the surface the number can be significantly less and in many cases FSC wood can be LESS than commodity wood.  The reason for this is our ability to offer consumers and builders a one step distribution process where we source lumber and plywood directly from the mill and provide our re-distribution and builders direct pricing on job lot orders.

Beginning in 2004, when we purchased our first rail car of FSC plywood, we have been offering FSC plywood to consumers who support the FSC core principals with the lowest price available on the market.  As a company we promise to always give consumers fair prices, high quality and rewarding Exceptional forest management practices.  Your decision matter and in just a few short years the purchases made by our returning cliental have enabled us to lower the premium paid for FSC lumber.

We encourage everyone to compare the value of FSC lumber and plywood and know that the benefits of choosing FSC wood is not only supporting sustainable forestry but is improving indoor air quality and bringing the highest quality wood products to your project.  All of our FSC plywood is Urea formaldehyde free!  Our FSC framing lumber is what we call No Prior Select Premium grade (NPS) so our 2&btr lumber is truly Better as a significant portion is premium grade. Expect to pay a maximum $2 extra per plywood panel and 13% more on lumber.  With the benefits of FSC Lumber how could you possibly choose anything else?
